I hope you found Back-to-School Night (BTSN) to be informative and enjoyed meeting your child's teachers! It's one of my favorite nights of the year! In case you missed shopping for spirit wear that our Spirit Items Chair Emily Nickelson had available last night, the online store is live and taking orders until Aug. 31. All orders will be delivered mid-September.

If you took one of the PTSA envelopes that were available at BTSN, I hope you consider joining our PTSA. You can join online using the methods listed on the envelope or send the envelope back to school with your child. Donations will directly benefit your children this year by supporting their events at the school and for various projects including campus beautification.

We hope you found our campus to be looking great! Our landscaping Chair Jennifer Velovolu worked hard this week replacing dead plants and weeding the rock garden. She created a SignUpGenius for our students to help take care of their campus. They will receive volunteer service credit. I would also like to recognize Don Williams from Don Williams Landscaping for providing the plants at cost and donating the labor to plant them.

PTSA has unveiled a new fundraising campaign this week that brings our school and the community together. We are thankful for those that have already joined. We would love for you to spread the word to any businesses that may be interested in being one of our community partners. The sponsorship levels and sponsorship form are explained in this letter.

We are excited to announce the PTSA will be using Membership Toolkit for our Website, Directory, "Stallion Scoop" Newsletter Communications, and Online Sales again for the 2024-2025 school year. Please complete the steps below to Log In and Join/Donate to the PTSA! Please email ptsa.cmm@gmail.com with questions.

The digital directory will go live September 1, 2024. Click on the link above and log in to confirm your information and modify publish preferences.

Here's what you need to do once you get to the site:

1. Click on the Register/Login button.

2. If you already have an account with another organization that uses Membership Toolkit you can use the same email and password to login. You can then proceed to Step 6.

3. Select "Create Account" and fill in your name, email, and password information. Be sure to use the same email address provided to Caddo Schools.

4. Click "verify my email." Then, check your email for a link to complete the process. The link expires in 2 hours. If you do not receive the email, check your spam or junk folders.

5. Once you have verified your email address, log back in and finish the registration process:

6. Update/Review the Parent/Family and Student Information.

7. Complete the Directory/Publish Preferences.

Stallions serve: Cards for kids

If your child is looking to serve, they may write inspirational notes of encouragement to kids entering foster care in Louisiana. Inspirational notes help lift the spirits of another kid in a time of overwhelming stress. If your student writes 5 notes, they can receive 1 service credit hour. There will be a drop off for notes in the office and Stallions Serve chair Jen Veluvolu will collect them every Friday. If your child needs a service hour form signed, please leave the form attached to their notes and she will return the form to the box on Monday for your student to pickup. The inspirational notes can be for any age. The student may sign their first name (i.e. Mary) without their school name (CMM) OR sign their school name (CMM), but omit their first name (i.e. Mary).

Stallions Serve is also looking for help watering the school's potted plants! If you child is interested in volunteering before school, please sign up below. Watering will also earn one credit hour. You may drop your student between 7-7:25am (to beat the moving carpool line). They should make their way to the office to obtain the watering supplies. If dropping off, please enter the main parking lot "exit" driveway to get around the carpool line. Remember to use caution because this will be going against traffic leaving the parking lot.
