October is National Arts & Humanities Month (NAHM)—a collective recognition of the importance of culture in America. We are celebrating this month by participating in PTA Reflections!
The PTA Reflections program provides students with opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boosts student confidence. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 nationwide create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. Approaching its 55th year, this program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
The 2023-24 Reflections theme is "I Am Hopeful Because..."
Entries in Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts categories will be due by January 9, 2024. For more information, please visit www.louisianapta.org/reflections
If you are interested in being a part of the new CMM Fishing Team, please plan to attend the interest meeting next Thursday, November 9th, after school in the PAC Foyer.
Please note corrected date: Sunday, November 26th
