I hope each of your Stallions returned rested from the break. We are off to the races this year already. We enjoyed hosting Clint Davis and around 75 parents for an eye-opening technology seminar today. His presentation to 6th graders followed. Ask your 6th grader about it! Look for a separate email with the parent talk slides from Clint for those who were unable to make it. Congratulations to the CMM winners for the CPSB Poster contests! All of these students will go on to compete at the parish level. 

The CMM PTSA is partnering with Lilah’s to raise funds for the PTSA!

Lilah’s King Cakes are absolutely delicious - what a sweet way to support our school while enjoying a local favorite! King cake orders will be accepted through Tuesday, January 16th at noon. Pickup will be Tuesday, January 23rd from 2 - 3:30 in the PAC foyer. Orders of 1-2 will be sent home with your student. King cakes serve 12-14, are available in several flavors and cost $28 each.

Attention 6th grade parents! Time is running out to reserve your spot for the 6th grade trip to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. A form was sent home with your 6th grader before the break. The trip will take place on Friday, March 22nd during the regular school day. We will be leaving school at approximately 6:30 am and returning at about 6:30 pm. The sixth grade curriculum exposes the students to many of the scientific, natural, and historic exhibits that the Perot Museum offers. As part of this exploration, we will attend the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, TX. The students will be able to participate in interactive exhibits and expand their knowledge about physics, cells, biology, ecosystems, energy, and space. Be sure to sign up on local level. The cost is $100.

The PTSA would like to thank head volunteer Tracy Jones and her parent committee: Marci Collins, Amy Hall, Anna Park, Leila Millican, Sana Arif Abro, Seema Warar, Deeps Pishey, Jen Veluvolu, Whitney Nichols, Amy Elberson, Lauren O’Brien, Holly Halfen, Lindsay Wallace, Lindsey Lewis, Ariel Stewart, Carrie Walton, Whitney Howell, Mary Eileen Grant, Ashley Price, Anne Marie Schoonover, Pradhi Kohli, Emily McDonald, Carolyn Bryant, Rachel Wilburn, Lauren Chandler, Girija Bhoite, Jennifer Monarch, Jennifer Callicote and Caffery Brown for providing a delicious Christmas lunch for CMM faculty and staff. Thank you to Canes for donating tea and lemonade. Also, additional food was donated to the Rescue Mission.

PTSA Membership drive is extended to January. Homerooms with the highest PTSA membership percentages will receive a donut party! Thank you for supporting PTSA!

2023-24 Track Tryouts Packets are available below or in the gym during your PE hour. Please turn in the waiver and forms by Friday, January 19, 2024 to tryout on the following week. Monday, January 22-Friday, January 26^th tryouts will be held during the students PE hour.
